The following are some things we suggest making the most of your stay in the city:

The Beaches

San Diego has plenty of beaches, including La Jolla Shores, Mission Bay, and for the little ones, Children’s Pool Beach. As for the best place to get a view of the sunset, Sunset Cliffs Natural Park and Cabrillo National Monument are local favorites.

Old Town San Diego

To take in a bit of the history of San Diego, visit the Old Town neighborhood. There is an old schoolhouse, a blacksmith shop, stables and an old town square. The Colorado House is home to the Wells Fargo Museum, which displays artifacts and explains the old days of the town. There are plenty of places to shop and eat in Old Town, too.

The Gaslamp Quarter provides more of the town’s history in a 16 block area. The buildings display a Victorian style architecture and are now home to the shops and restaurants. This area really comes alive at night with several places to dine and dance the night away.

Mount Laguna

If you’re looking for a scenic drive with plenty of photo opportunities, kick back in the limo ride and enjoy a one-hour drive that will land you at Mount Laguna. There are hiking trails and a number of scenic viewpoints to photograph the glorious mountain range.

Coronado Island

Coronado Island has some of the most pristine beaches in the area. It also has some of the finest restaurants that serve fresh seafood caught locally. There is a waterfront park, plenty of shopping and many local artists displaying their crafts.
